I've been insanely busy, which is only part of the reason I haven't updated here in over a year.  I've been drawing and writing (a lot of writing), but I haven't been scanning my drawings lately, so I have nothing to post.

Some strange things have been going on around my place lately.  Some of the strangest starting shortly after I adopted Pippin.  There was one night in those early month when she was attacking my feet (as kittens love to do).  Sam was perched on the dresser near by bed.  As I looked over my shoulder and told her to stop, one of the cat toys in the hall outside the room made a noise.  It got Pippin's attention and off she went to play with it.  I live alone - with just the two cats: one was on the dresser, one was on my feet.  Who played with the toy?

Some time passed and all was fairly quiet.  Then, I was going into my bath.  It has a vanity built into a wall behind the shower.  I saw the tip of a dark tail vanish around that corner.  Now, both of my cats have black tails, so I assumed it was one of them.  I popped my head around the corner and saw... nothing.  No cat.  It's an enclosed corner.  There's no way they could have gotten out of there without going past me.

Now, just a week ago, I was sitting on my couch, watching television or writing.  I can't remember which.  Pippin was sitting by the windows at the front of the house - right in front of me.  Sam was stretched out in the hall, in his usual spot.  I heard a cat jump to the floor... in the kitchen.  Sam and Pippin both turned to look, so they'd heard it too.

The only thing I can conclude is that Odie is still around.  It doesn't bother me.  Maybe he just wasn't ready to leave.  I don't know.  I'm not going to complain about having a cat I don't need to feed.  He can stay as long as he wants.

I'm trying to convince my sister to sit with me while I have an EVP session here some night.  I want to see if we can hear anything out of the ordinary.  I don't think Odie is the only spirit in this apartment.  He's just the only one I have a real name for.  I'll post about "George" another time.
